Travel to Gdańsk

b) by train via Warsaw, this is a fast and economical way to travel. Gdańsk is connected to all major cities in Poland. A quick connection to Warsaw by Pendolino trains or PKP Intercity is the fastest option. These trains run about every hour and the journey lasts less then 3 hours. Gdańsk Airport – Gdańsk Główny
The Gdańsk Lech Walesa Airport is located about 15 km from city center.
The easiest way to get from the airport to Gdańsk is by taxi. The taxi rank is located in front of the main entrance to the passenger terminal and the fare for the drive from the airport to the city center is around 50 zł (12 €).

A new Pomeranian Metropolitan Railway (PKM) railway line, built in 2015, connects Gdańsk’s airport with Gdańsk Wrzeszcz. The station platform can be found at the T2 passenger terminal and is connected to it by a special tunnel. Not all trains go to the Gdańsk Główny therefore a change at Gdańsk Wrzeszcz may be required. Ticket costs 4.50 PLN (1 €) and can be purchased from the train manager or the SKM ticket machine at the platform.
