Tegoroczny okres aktywno\u015bci roju przypada mi\u0119dzy 4 a 17 XII. Natomiast maksimum aktywno\u015bci roju nast\u0105pi 14 grudnia 2022 roku o godzinie 13. Obserwatorzy b\u0119d\u0105 mogli podziwia\u0107 niebia\u0144ski spektakl podczas nocy z 13 na 14 grudnia 2022 roku. Wed\u0142ug ekspert\u00f3w ze \u201eSky and Telescope\u201d, Geminidy prawdopodobnie b\u0119d\u0105 \u017ar\u00f3d\u0142em (zaraz po Perseidach) najwi\u0119kszej liczby najja\u015bniejszych bolid\u00f3w (zwanych po angielsku \u201efireballs\u201d &#8211; kulami ognia) w\u015br\u00f3d przesz\u0142o 100 znanych i klasyfikowanych roj\u00f3w meteor\u00f3w. \u015arednia jasno\u015b\u0107 wpadaj\u0105cego w atmosfer\u0119 meteoru z roju Geminid\u00f3w osi\u0105ga nawet -2<sup>m<\/sup> (magnitudo, wielko\u015b\u0107 gwiazdowa, oznaczana przez <sup>m<\/sup> lub <em>mag<\/em>) &#8211; czyli w przybli\u017ceniu tyle, co Mars oraz Jowisz, a kilkakrotnie mniej (w sensie intensywno\u015bci strumienia \u015bwiat\u0142a) od Wenus, cho\u0107 obserwatorzy zak\u0142adaj\u0105, \u017ce jasno\u015b\u0107 najja\u015bniejszych meteor\u00f3w mo\u017ce osi\u0105gn\u0105\u0107 -5<sup>m<\/sup> (czyli por\u00f3wnywan\u0105 z jasno\u015bci\u0105 Wenus). Obserwacj\u0119 utrudnia\u0107 b\u0119dzie Ksi\u0119\u017cyc znajduj\u0105cy si\u0119 fazie Ksi\u0119\u017cyca garbatego ubywaj\u0105cego (F=-0,72), ale kluczowa jest oczywi\u015bcie prognoza pogody,
